Every streaming platform tends to have a defining franchise. For Netflix, that includes hits like Stranger Things and Bridgerton, while Apple TV leans on standout series such as Ted Lasso and Severance. It took Prime Video some time to land on its own signature property, but it finally did a few years back with Reacher. The popular action series is adapted from Lee Child’s novels, and although the character was previously portrayed in live-action by Tom Cruise, many fans feel Alan Ritchson is a far better physical match for the role. Prime Video has already rolled out three full seasons of Reacher in recent years, with another on the horizon and even a spin-off in development. The show has also helped elevate Ritchson into one of the biggest action stars working today, opening the door for him to take on projects with other streamers as well.
