It should be no surprise that a show that captures the heart and soul of authors like JRR Tolkien and George RR Martin has a bright future ahead of it. Both these fantasy writers' works have been around for decades (though Tolkien's for several more decades than Martin's) and have had a massive impact on the genre as a whole. Tolkien set the standard for deep lore exploration and established the high fantasy model, while Martin began a trend of subverting these tropes with gritty, R-rated violence and intensity. Suffice it to say, they are a pretty big deal.
