Pokemon Friends Poke Ball+ Virtual Pet Includes New Features

Takara Tomy is preparing to release a new version of the Poke Ball toy where the owner can pet the virtual Pokemon contained inside. The new product will be known as Pokemon Friends Poke Ball+, and it will be available in November 2026.

The previous versions allowed the owner to bathe the Pokemon and access mini-games like dancing and hide-and-seek. This new version will have more mini-games like ball-throwing and sweets-producing, as well as more activities like feeding, outing, and interior decorations.

In addition, this version will newly have Traditional Chinese as the third selectable language after Japanese and English. It will also have a new communication feature where one’s Pokemon can visit another player who owns the same version.

This toy will have seven main Pokemon available to pet, which are Pikachu, Piplup, Rowlet, Scorbunny, Dedenne, Gengar, and Ditto. It will also have 170 other Pokemon appearing as friends, such as Mawile and Emolga.

Despite the product’s multilingual support, Takara Tomy Mall still only accepts domestic orders, and it does not even set its Buyee widget to support international orders. People outside Japan who are interested in getting this toy will have to find another outlet that supports worldwide shipping, such as Amazon Japan.

The Pokemon Friends Poke Ball+ virtual pet toy will be available on November 7, 2026.
