HoYoVerse teased a Petit Planet announcement on April Fools’ Day 2026, and it followed it up with the reveal of a Stardrift Test closed beta. Sign-ups are available on the official site, ahead of the trial starting on April 21, 2026. People will be able to participate if they have Windows PCs or an Android or Apple iOS mobile devices. There’s also a new trailer for this next experience that shows off a character coming to a planet, customizing a character, and meeting both NPCs and new neighbors.
HoYoVerse didn’t note the purpose of this Petit Planet beta or its goals for it. It did confirm that there will be new content that wasn’t in the previous Coziness Test. There will also be an age requirement, as people under 18 can’t participate. Those who do get in will only be able to play on one platform and can’t swap to another during it. They can share details about their experience, including via streams. While the voice acting will only be in Chinese, English, and Japanese, there will be Chinese (Simplified), English, French, Indonesian, Japanese, Russian, and Thai subtitles and localizations available. No end date was mentioned, but the company did confirm there will be a data wipe after this test ends.
Here’s the latest Petit Planet Stardrift Test closed beta trailer.
This comes about five months after the last Coziness Test closed beta. That started in November 2025. It offered a chance to start to develop a planet, assist NPCs who established things like a home for bugs and fish and a shop, and interact with new neighbors.
Petit Planet will come to Windows PCs and Android and iOS mobile devices, and the Stardrift closed beta test begins on April 21, 2026. The end date for this trial hasn’t been announced yet.
