Persona 5: The Phantom X Gets More Gold Ticket Characters in 2.0

The 2.0 X-Stream for Persona 5: The Phantom X finished and, in addition to confirming new additions we already knew would appear, it announced more exchange characters will be available after the update. This means there will be three more units on the Gold Tickets Contract banner, which is always available. Everything starts to appear after the patch releases and maintenance is done on September 4, 2025. We’ll also all get 1,000 Meta Jewels after maintenance as a gift, which can be claimed until September 22, 2025.

See, Persona 5: The Phantom X isn’t like Umamusume: Pretty Derby, where a limited gacha character joins the general pool after they debut. It is like Genshin Impact instead, where that person could be considered limited. The Contracts page will have a Gold Ticket banner, which involves always available units. The slide during the X-Stream for 2.0 noted that Mona, Panther, Riddle, Rin, and Skull are already ones you can use Gold Tickets to get. After the update this week, Bui, Joker, and Marian will be available there.  

The stream also announced Cognitite Shards are being added. If you get these items, you can “awaken” and improve a five-star character. This is instead of pulling doubles. You will need to get 60 for the limit break. The announcement slide showed Mona, Panther, Riddle, Rin, and Skull when discussing the item, and Tasks will apparently be tied to them too.

As for the other additions, we already had hints about what characters and places we’d see in Persona 5: The Phantom X 2.0. The campaign will get Chapter 3 Phase 1, with Chiyome joining as the new four-star Phantom Thief Riko “Wind” Tanemura as part of it. That also means we’ll get to go to Kichijoji for the first time and head to a new Mementos Palace. Ayaka “Chord” Sakai will show up as the new five-star Phantom Idol in the gacha.
