Peacemaker Explores a New Earth in Season 2 Episode 3 Promo

New trailer from Peacemaker Season 2 Episode 3 highlights A.R.G.U.S.’s growing pursuit of Chris Smith. The promo teases how the agency escalates its efforts to track him down while expanding the conflict set up in earlier episodes.

Peacemaker Season 2 Episode 3 trailer shows what’s next

The trailer for Peacemaker Season 2 Episode 3 opens with Chris Smith, also known as Peacemaker, looking at a bike and exclaiming, “Oh yeah.” He follows this with, “Best dimension ever,” after realizing that people in this alternate dimension admire him. 

Sasha Bordeaux, played by Sol Rodríguez, is then heard saying, “Peacemaker is A.R.G.U.S.’s top priority,” underscoring his surveillance by the agency. A threat is issued when a voice warns, “Until our demands are met, how many here is going to die?” Peacemaker then heads into the building to attack the group behind the warning. Later, Keith asks him, “You good, man? Been disappearing even more than usual?” and Chris replies, “I’m great.”

Episode 2, titled “A Man Is Only As Good As His Bird,” revealed that Rick Flag Sr. became acting Director of A.R.G.U.S. eight months earlier, after Amanda Waller faced a congressional investigation. With this authority, Flag Sr. targeted Chris after confirming that Rick Flag Jr. had died in Corto Maltese. He then ordered A.R.G.U.S. agents to investigate the energy surges from the Quantum Unfolding Storage Area, a chamber built by Chris’s father that connects to 99 alternate realities.

In the same episode, Peacemaker and Vigilante burned his multiversal counterpart’s body. After Emilia Harcourt rejected him, Chris turned to the alternate world that seemed more welcoming. Meanwhile, Eagley killed A.R.G.U.S. operatives sent to capture Chris, escalating the conflict.

Peacemaker Season 2 stars John Cena, Danielle Brooks, Freddie Stroma, Jennifer Holland, and Steve Agee. The cast also includes Frank Grillo, Sol Rodríguez, David Denman, Brey Noelle, and Tim Meadows. James Gunn wrote all eight episodes and directed three. Greg Mottola, Peter Sollett, and Alethea Jones also direct.

Two episodes are streaming on Max, with Episode 3 next to expand the multiverse arc.
