Dexter may return to small screens sooner than fans of the title vigilante character expect, as Season 2 of the franchise sequel has been in the works. Set in Miami, the psychological thriller centers on Dexter Morgan (Michael C. Hall), a forensic technician for the fictional Miami Metro PD, who leads a secret parallel life as a vigilante serial killer. The series ran from October 1, 2006, to September 22, 2013, featuring eight seasons and 96 episodes, but it didn't stop there: three spin-offs followed, two of which have been cancelled.
