One of 2025’s Best PS5 Games Is Already on Sale

Tokyo Game Show 2025 is underway, and one way Sony is celebrating the show is by bringing a new sale to the PS Store. Like previous promotions, this brings great discounts on some of the best PS4 and PS5 games available on the digital storefront. That includes one of the best PS5 games to release this year so far.

Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is already on sale on the PS Store

Developed by Kojima Productions and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is currently 15% off on the PS Store. That brings its typical $69.99 price tag down to $59.49. Players who want to take advantage of this deal have a bit of time, but may want to act fast. The offer ends on October 9 at 2:59 a.m. ET.

“Embark on an inspiring mission of human connection beyond the UCA,” reads the game’s description. “Sam—with companions by his side—sets out on a new journey to save humanity from extinction. Join them as they traverse a world beset by otherworldly enemies, obstacles and a haunting question: should we have connected? When Death Stranding 2: On the Beach was released in June this year, it was received well. According to the review aggregate site Metacritic, it garnered an average review score of 89 across 145 critic reviews. In our review of the game, we gave it a 10 out of 10.

“Death Stranding 2 isn’t the revolution that the first game was. Instead, it refines almost all aspects of the original to make an excellent, well-polished experience. On the Beach firmly establishes the Death Stranding universe and makes it a franchise in which I could see many more stories told (even if they’re not by Kojima himself).”
