‘Oh F— Off’: Rebecca Ferguson Says Viewers Judged Silo Season 3 Too Soon

Rebecca Ferguson has the choicest words to say to people complaining about Silo Season 3. After Apple TV’s sci-fi dystopian series returned with its latest season, fans began to criticize the show’s direction, especially about what had been happening with Ferguson’s Juliette Nichols, who seemingly becomes amnesiac.

Ferguson addressed the viewers’ criticism of Silo Season 3 during Apple TV’s panel at the San Diego Comic-Con. “I don’t like reading comments on the YouTube clips,” Ferguson stated. “I started doing it and going down that rabbit hole and people are like ‘Oh f– off, losing memory what a stupid idea’” (via Entertainment Weekly).

The Dune star recalled thinking that the fans were too early with their judgment. “I was like, ‘Oh for God’s sake! Watch three episodes in, it’s better than that. And I’m happy we’ve past that. It’s more intelligent than just losing memories.”

As Season 3 continues to reveal new mysteries, it increasingly seems that she is right, and fans might have needed to wait before voicing their dissatisfaction. For instance, Episode 4 reveals that Tim Robbins’ Bernard Holland is still alive despite a flashback earlier in the season showing his apparent demise.

Notably, Graham Yost created Silo based on the books of the same name by Hugh Howey, who defended the show and the latest creative choices in it in a blog post. “Stay with us as we explore this theme, because it’s one of the reasons the story was written in the first place,” he shared. “And don’t fret, we aren’t going to drag this out for ages. It’s not an attempt to reset the plot so we can cover old ground.”

Silo Season 3 streams on Apple TV every Friday. Back in 2024, Silo received a two-season renewal. The fourth season will also be its last.
