Building on a strong year so far for its true-crime pipeline, Netflix has delivered another winner. The streamer was coming off the massive hit The Crash, which accumulated more than 50 million views in its first month. Any true-crime title that followed had massive shoes to fill. Netflix's latest release appears to have taken the challenge head-on; it came armed with a stranger-than-fiction tale and rode on The Crash's coattails to finish second on the streamer's global viewership charts during the first week of its release. The movie in question has now topped the streamer's weekly rankings, beating out not only the holdover rom-com Office Romance, but also this week's major new release, Voicemails for Isabelle.
