Netflix’s Kevin Hart Roast Release Date Is Getting Closer

A new Netflix special, The Roast of Kevin Hart, finally gets a release date for next month. Similar to the Tom Brady roast, it is a live event that Netflix will exclusively stream on its platform.

Netflix will live-stream The Roast of Kevin Hart on May 10, 2026, at 8 PM ET/5 PM PT. 

Stand-up comedian Shane Gillis will be hosting the event. Alongside taking all the jokes, Hart is also serving as an executive producer. Currently, there is very little information on which celebrities will participate in the event to roast the Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle star.

May 10 will also mark the last day of the Netflix Is a Joke festival, which begins on May 4, 2026. The roast is set to take place at the Kia Forum, located at 3900 W Manchester Blvd, Inglewood, California. Enthusiasts can witness the event in person by booking tickets on the site. The tickets are available in multiple price tiers, ranging from $66 to $545. 

The Roast of Kevin Hart is the second live celebrity roast that the streaming giant has produced. In 2024, Netflix hosted its first live roast show centered on former NFL quarterback Tom Brady, titled The Greatest Roast of Tom Brady, and promoted as The GROAT.

The 2024 event was a massive success for Netflix, drawing more than 2 million viewers on the first night (via Forbes). Kevin Hart hosted, while several celebrities took part in the event, taking turns to roast the seven-time Super Bowl champion. The participants included Ben Affleck, Bert Kreischer, Will Ferrell, Kim Kardashian, Nikki Glaser, Tom Segura, Randy Moss, Julian Edelman, Tony Hinchcliffe, and Andrew Schulz, among others.

While The GROAT was a hit for the streaming juggernaut, the former New England Patriots player said that he wouldn’t do it again. In multiple interviews, he explained that he loved the jokes when it was about him, but didn’t like how they affected his kids.
