Netflix Renews Popular New TV Show With Ke$ha & Mad Men Star for Season 2

Netflix has renewed a popular breakout coming-of-age sports drama series with Ke$ha and a Mad Men star for a second season. According to the latest reports, Crew Girl has been renewed for Season 2, after Season 1 debuted earlier in September and remained on Netflix’s English TV Top 10 list.

The series premiered on September 10, 2026. It stars former Mad Men star Jessica Paré as Ella, Teagan’s mother, and features pop icon Ke$ha as a special guest. Alongside Paré, Crew Girl showcases rising talent including Miku Martineau, Kyle Clark, and Samuel Braun.

What is Netflix’s Crew Girl TV show about?

Written by Vivian Lin, Crew Girl is a coming-of-age teen drama about a 16-year-old female rower named Teagan (played by Martineau). Per Netflix Tudum, “When her dad gets embroiled in an embezzlement scandal, Teagan and her mom, Ella (played by Paré), move back to Ella’s hometown — the small coastal hamlet Eagles Cove.”

“Teagan, an avid rower, soon learns that she’s not only the new kid at the intimidating Easton Prep; she’s also stuck on land. Easton Prep doesn’t have a girls’ rowing team, so Teagan stumbles into the coxswain seat of the unruly boys’ boat. The only catch? She’s never coxed before,” the storyline continued.

To make things even more chaotic, Teagan finds herself drawn to two team members: Easton Prep golden boy, Josh (played by Braun), whose family’s name is on the boathouse, and the quietly determined Cam (played by Clark). With the team and her life both in a mess, the question remains whether she can fix both and win.

Following Season 1’s cliffhanger ending, the upcoming season is expected to answer questions about the central love triangle among Teagan, the wealthy golden boy Josh, and the underdog Cam. It will also explore the dynamic now that a new competitive girls’ team has been established at Easton Prep.

Crew Girl Season 2 does not yet have an official release date. Season 1 is currently available to stream on Netflix.
