Short films are often how filmmakers cut their teeth in the business before progressing to features. They're an important part of cinema history and culture; that's why the Academy makes time for them every year at the Oscars. However, it's often hard to see them outside of film festivals, which can leave cinephiles outside of major urban centers bereft. That's where PREVO comes in; the streaming service specializes in short films and makes them available worldwide. Now, PREVO is getting into the movie business themselves and financing their own short films.
