The NCIS Season 24 premiere was certainly one for the books, as the agency now has a new permanent director following Vance's (Rocky Carroll) death. Back in March, Vance was tragically killed off in Season 23, sacrificing his life to stop a corrupt agent and save the agency. Gabriel LaRoche (Seamus Dever) then became the replacement in this new season before Tony DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly) of the cancelled NCIS: Tony & Ziva officially took over by the premiere episode's end.
