MTV MVAs 2025 Winner List: The MTV Video Music Awards 2025 were presented on Sunday night, September 7. Ariana Grande won video of the year. The video for her song "Brighter Days Ahead" received the night's top accolade. She received a total of three awards. The biggest winner of the night was Lady Gaga, who received four awards, including artist of the year, two days after she had to postpone a Miami gig because of a "extremely strained" voice. She stated in her victory speech that she had to travel to Madison Square Garden, where she was supposed to play on Sunday night, therefore she couldn't stay for the remainder of the VMAs.
About 90 minutes later, the VMAs showed her performance of "Abracadabra" and "The Dead Dance" from her MSG event.

In addition, Sabrina Carpenter won three "Moon Person" awards, including album of the year for Short n' Sweet.
Ros , KATSEYE, Gaga-Mars shine at VMAs 2025
Other winners that accepted during the show were Ros , who won song of the year for "APT" a duet with Bruno Mars; and KATSEYE, who won MTV Push performance of the year for "Touch." Mars and Gaga won best collaboration for "Die With a Smile."
Ricky Martin, Busta Rhymes among other winners
Ricky Martin received the first Latin Icon Award, Busta Rhymes was given the first Rock the Bells Visionary Award, and Mariah Carey was given the Video Vanguard Award. Also, all three artists gave performances. The VMAs included two new categories this year: best country video and best pop act.
LL Cool J hosted the VMAs, which broadcast live from UBS Arena in Elmont, New York, coast-to-coast beginning at 5 PM on Sunday. In addition to its longstanding home on MTV, the show made its premiere on CBS and was streamed live on Paramount+ (for anyone with the service's premium membership).
The 2025 VMAs were produced by Den of Thieves and Van Toffler, the former CEO of MTV, and his firm Gunpowder & Sky.
