New reports have confirmed that The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Jessi Draper Ngatikaura’s husband, Jordan Ngatikaura, has filed for divorce. The pair have been together for five years. This comes on the same day that ABC took the rather shocking decision to cancel The Bachelorette Season 22, which featured Draper’s Mormon Wives castmate, Taylor Frankie Paul.

Report says Jordan Ngatikaura has filed for divorce from Jessi Draper

A new report from Entertainment Weekly confirms that Jordan Ngatikaura has filed for divorce from his wife of five years, Jessi Draper Ngatikaura. The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star was reportedly enduring a rocky period in her marriage before this development.

Ngatikaura opened up about the divorce to EW, saying, “This has not been an easy decision, and it comes with a heavy heart. I’m grateful for the shared memories and the lessons. While our paths are now moving in different directions, my priority remains my children and ensuring they feel loved, supported, and protected through this transition.”

Draper, on the other hand, has yet to give out a statement regarding the same.

Jessi and Jordan married in 2020 and share two children together.

The divorce report comes amidst an already ongoing controversy in The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.

Earlier this week, a huge controversy emerged surrounding Taylor Frankie Paul and ex-partner Dakota Mortensen. Accusations of domestic violence emerged on both sides, leading to an investigation that halted the filming of Mormon Wives.

Now, as announced on the same day as this divorce, ABC is pulling the plug on The Bachelorette Season 22, which featured Paul as a castmate.

“Taylor is very grateful for ABC’s support as she prioritizes her family’s safety and security,” a representative for Taylor Frankie Paul said to Entertainment Weekly. “After years of silently suffering extensive mental and physical abuse as well as threats of retaliation, Taylor is finally gaining the strength to face her accuser and taking steps to ensure that she and her children are protected from any further harm.”
