MLex hires Scherer as senior intellectual property reporter

MLex has hired Steve Scherer as senior intellectual property reporter. He is based in Washington. Scherer was the former Ottawa bureau chief at Reuters. Scherer was a top reporter in Rome for Bloomberg and Reuters for two decades and was promoted to Ottawa bureau chief and chief Canada correspondent by Reuters. Scherer holds a bachelor’s degree from Wabash College and a master’s degree from Northwestern University.
