Nintendo announced that Mega Hawlucha is the latest new Mega Evolution in Pokemon Legends: Z-A. There’s a whole trailer dedicated to the character. It highlights what we can expect when the game debuts in October.
The official website also updated to showcase the character. It noted it is still a Fighting and Flying double type after the transformation. It also gets a boost to attack and defense when it happens. That page also confirmed Flying Press is still considered its “signature move.” That’s a physical move that’s been around since the Pokemon first debuted.
Here’s the Mega Hawlucha trailer showing what the new Mega Evolution looks like in Pokemon Legends: Z-A. It starts with us seeing the standard version of the character in battle, but then circumstances force the trainer to Mega Evolve them in order to win.
We’ve now seen three new Mega Evolution options in Pokemon Legends: Z-A ahead of launch, thanks to the Mega Hawlucha reveal. The first was Mega Dragonite, which features huge wings on its head after evolving. The other recent one ended up being Mega Victreebel. That showed up in its own “found footage” style trailer.
Pokemon Legends: Z-A will come to the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 on October 16, 2025.
