Mead Based on Umamusume Tokai Teio Being Made

Tentaka Shuzo will release mead that’s based on Tokai Teio in Umamusume: Pretty Derby and her favorite drink. The “Tokei Teio Hachimi Wine” will be available for purchase through the Tentaka Shuzo online shop on June 23, 2026. [Thanks, Oricon!]

The Tokai Teio Hachimi Wine is inspired by hachimi, a honey drink that Tokai Teio and other trendy horse girls like in Umamusume: Pretty Derby. The wine contains a combination of honey and Japanese sake yeast. According to Tentaka, this combination has the sweetness of honey and the elegant aroma of liquor. It will cost 4900 JPY ($30.40), shipping fee not included. Each bottle has 720 ml of liquid inside, and it contains 6% alcohol. The label features a chibi version of Tokai Teio holding a pot of honey.

Tentaka suggests all sorts of ways to enjoy mead, and not just the Tokai Teio kind. You can have it cold or hot. You can drink it straight, over ice, mixed with carbonated water, mixed with hot water, or on top of vanilla ice cream.

Umamusume: Pretty Derby is readily available on mobile devices and Windows PC. The most recent banner in the global version is Air Shakur’s debut as a trainee, and the most recent banner in the Japanese version is the debut of Current Bouquetd’or as a playable trainee.
