A new Masters of the Universe trailer has been released.

Amazon MGM Studios and Mattel Studios’ live-action Masters of the Universe movie will be released in United States theaters this summer. Based on the popular media franchise of the same name, the movie is directed by Travis Knight and sees Nicholas Galitzine play Adam Glenn/He-Man.

What is known about the Masters of the Universe movie?

The movie brings the legendary franchise back to the big screen in this epic live-action adventure. “After being separated for 15 years, the Sword of Power leads Prince Adam (Nicholas Galitzine) back to Eternia where he discovers his home shattered under the fiendish rule of Skeletor (Jared Leto). To save his family and his world, Adam must join forces with his closest allies, Teela (Camila Mendes) and Duncan/Man-At-Arms (Idris Elba), and embrace his true destiny as He-Man — the most powerful man in the universe,” says the official synopsis.

In addition to the aforementioned cast, Masters of the Universe stars Alison Brie as Professor Evelyn Powers/Evil-Lyn, Morena Baccarin as the Sorceress, Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson as Malcolm/Fisto, James Purefoy as King Randor, Charlotte Riley as Queen Marlena Glenn, Sasheer Zamata as Suzie, Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson as Goat Man, Sam C. Wilson as Kronis / Trap Jaw, Jon Xue Zhang as Ram-Man, Kojo Attah as Tri-Klops, and Kristen Wigg as the voice of Roboto.

The script comes from Chris Butler, Aaron Nee, Adam Nee, Dave Callaham, while Todd Black, Jason Blumenthal, Robbie Brenner, Steve Tisch, and DeVon Franklin serve as producers on the project. Ynon Kreiz, Bill Bannerman, and David Bloomfield serve as executive producers. Knight’s previous directing credits include 2016’s Kubo and the Two Strings and 2018’s Bumblebee, while he also has another movie, Wildwood, coming out in October.

Masters of the Universe arrives on June 5, 2026.
