Marvel Zombies Season 2 Release Date Just Got Closer With New Hiring

Marvel Zombies Season 2 has edged closer to reality after Marvel Animation locked in an important creative hire. The announcement points to active production on the follow-up, even as Disney+ still holds back an official release date. Fans waiting on Marvel Zombies Season 2 now have their first concrete sign of momentum in months.

Marvel Zombies Season 2 just got a new update

Seth Kearsley confirmed he is joining Marvel Zombies Season 2, sharing the news on his X page. As his credits include Eight Crazy Nights, Family Guy, and Looney Tunes, Kearsley’s arrival carries weight. Kearsley told followers he “couldn’t be more excited” about the job. He called it a “career full-circle moment” alongside his earlier work on The Maxx and Mummies Alive, and he promised “no holds barred martial arts and gore.”

He stayed tight-lipped on plot specifics. When one fan asked whether the Infinity Hulk would return, Kearsley answered, “I can only say that I’m working on it.” Furthermore, the director kept engaging with well-wishers as replies flooded in. To one supporter, he wrote, “Ty ty super stoked. Such an incredible team. I feel somewhat like Howard the Duck joining the Avengers, but amazing to be this inspired at work after 32 years in the industry.” In another reply, he added, “Appreciate you man. It’s a little like working on the Maxx in that I find myself thinking ‘I get paid to do this?'”

Moreover, Kearsley’s hiring signals that Marvel Zombies Season 2 is moving through production at Marvel Animation rather than sitting idle. That matters because any news about the show has been scarce since its renewal earlier this year. No release date exists yet.

Season 1 ended with Elizabeth Olsen’s zombified Scarlet Witch, now called the Queen of the Dead, rewriting reality at an unprecedented scale. She trapped Kamala Khan inside a false world. That cliffhanger is what’s got fans waiting for more.
