Marvel Unveils New Wolverine, And He's Nothing Like The Original

Marvel introduces a new Wolverine, who wields a very different type of weapon than Logan's iconic claws. Wolverine is an example of four distinct character categories: First, Logan is a feral mutant, possessing animalistic hyper-acute senses, an accelerated cellular healing factor, and a predatory instinct that links him to characters like Sabretooth and Feral. Second, Wolverine is the Weapon Plus program's main test subject, which also includes Deadpool and Nuke. Third, Weapon X made Wolverine adamantium-enhanced, a trait shared by Sabretooth, Lady Deathstrike, and Bullseye. And lastly, Wolverine is permanently tied to the X-Men, having served as the team's brawler for years.
