After meeting in 2020, Martin Freeman and his partner Rachel Benaissa have kept their relationship tightly under wraps and now, the couple have even married in secret.
They attended the premiere of Martin’s latest film The Long Winter last night and Rachel showed off her emerald engagement ring while Martin was sporting a gold band on his wedding finger.
A spokesperson for Martin Freeman confirmed the couple had tied the knot to The Sun.

While their relationship is strictly private, Martin did give a rare glimpse into their life together. On Jessie Ware’s podcast Table Manners, he enthused about their love of food and cooking together.
In response to the question, “She’s French. Is she Cordon Bleu?”, The Hobbit star responded: “She’s not a Cordon Bleu … She’s a massive cheese and wine w****.
“That’s what she would say about herself. She says that about herself, ‘I’m a cheese and wine w****.’ It’s not all she is, but no, she loves all that stuff. We like cooking.”
A Long Winter comes to UK and Irish cinemas in January 2027.
