Mark Ruffalo’s ‘Mare of Easttown’ Replacement Doubles ’Countdown’s Rotten Tomatoes Score

Mark Ruffalo will always be known for playing Bruce Banner/The Hulk in the MCU, but he’s due to star in a TV show soon that’s being likened to Mare of Easttown. Ruffalo stars alongside Silvia Dionicio (Chicago P.D.) and Jamie McShane (1923) in Task, the FBI thriller following an agent who puts together a task force to stop a string of violent robberies being committed by an unsuspecting family man. The review embargo for Task lifted this afternoon ahead of its September 7 release date, and critics have come to a verdict on the show, rating it 71% on the aggregator site Rotten Tomatoes at the time of writing. This is also more than double the 35% held by Countdown, which is also being compared to Task.
