
A man and a woman have been charged after a teenager was accused of brandishing an ‘axe and knife’ in Dundee.
Last Wednesday (August 27) a 12-year-old girl was charged with possessing offensive weapons in the Lochee area of the city.
Footage shared widely on social media captured a Bulgarian couple being approached by a group of youths as they walked along St Ann Lane in Dundee on Saturday evening.
An axe and knife were then allegedly brandished at the couple.
Now, Police Scotland says two more people have been charged in relation to the incident.

They have not identified the man or woman, or shared the nature of the charges.

A spokesperson for the police said: ‘Following extensive enquiries, a man and a woman have been charged in connection with an incident in St Ann Lane in Dundee, which was reported around 7.40pm on Saturday, August 23.
‘The circumstances will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal.
‘A girl, previously charged with being in possession of offensive weapons, will be referred to the Scottish Children’s Reporter Administration and the Procurator Fiscal.
‘Members of the public are again urged not to share misinformation about this incident or speculate on the circumstances.’
In a warning about spreading misinformation last week, Chief Superintendent Nicola Russell said: ‘We are aware of misinformation being shared on social media in relation to an incident where a Bulgarian couple were approached by youths in St Ann Lane, Dundee, on Saturday 23 August 2025.
‘A 12-year-old girl has been charged with being in possession of offensive weapons. She will be referred to the relevant authorities and our inquiries are ongoing.
‘We would like to thank the local community for their help with our investigation and would urge the public not to share misinformation about this incident or speculate on the circumstances.’
