When LeBron James surprisingly signed with the Philadelphia 76ers this past summer, many wondered how he and up and coming Sixers star, Tyrese Maxey would gel on the court.
While we don’t know if LeBron and Tyrese will have any chemistry once the ball is in play, it seems like King James is at least building a connection with Maxey on a personal level as he spent some time babysitting Maxey’s baby girl on the sideline during scrimmages earlier this weekend.
During a team open scrimmage this past Saturday (Oct. 3), fans witnessed LeBron James caring for Tyrese Maxey’s infant daughter as her daddy prepared to take over parental duties on the side. As adorable as the moment was, it also served as the catalyst to earn LeBron James a new nickname, Uncle Bron.
Given his age (41), illustrious career (4 NBA championships) and overall years in the league (23), Uncle Bron might be the most suitable nickname for LeBron James going forward. We ain’t mad at it.
Whether or not Uncle Bron can help his new nephew, Tyrese Maxey reach the promised land this season or next remains to be seen, but at least he seems capable of baby sitting on nights when he doesn’t suit up on the court. Just sayin.
