
A major development has happened in the case surrounding Matthew Perry’s death. The woman known as the Ketamine Queen has admitted to supplying the fatal dose that killed the Friends star in October 2023.
Jasveen Sangha, aka Ketamine Queen, pleads guilty in Matthew Perry’s death case
Jasveen Sangha pleaded guilty on September 3 in a federal court in Los Angeles to five charges. These charges include maintaining a drug-involved premises, three counts of distributing ketamine, and one count of distribution resulting in death or serious bodily injury, according to the Department of Justice. Her plea makes her the fifth and final person convicted in connection with Matthew Perry’s overdose case.
The dual U.S. and U.K. citizen has been in custody since her arrest in August 2024, nearly a year after Matthew Perry was found dead in his Los Angeles home. Prosecutors said Sangha worked with Erik Fleming to sell Perry 51 vials of ketamine in October 2023, which Perry’s assistant, Kenneth Iwamasa, later injected. On October 28, 2023, Iwamasa administered at least three shots from Sangha’s supply, leading to the Friend’s actor’s death at the age of 54.
Jasveen Sangha, aka Ketamine Queen, pleaded guilty after a series of convictions tied to Matthew Perry’s death. Iwamasa admitted in court documents that he injected the actor with the fatal doses and pleaded guilty in August 2024 to conspiracy to distribute ketamine, causing death. He will be sentenced on November 19.
Fleming, who distributed the drugs, also pleaded guilty in August to conspiracy and distribution charges and is set for sentencing on November 12. Two doctors, Salvador Plasencia and Mark Chavez, admitted to supplying ketamine that reached Perry through intermediaries. Plasencia’s sentencing is scheduled for December 3, while Chavez will be sentenced on December 17. (via ABC News)
