Crunchyroll confirmed during a live-streamed fifth anniversary event that Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 is in production. The new season will officially premiere in January 2026.

Titled Jujutsu Kaisen: The Culling Game, the season will be based on the same-named manga arc, with episodes streaming weekly on Crunchyroll in most countries, except Asia, on the same day as Japan.

The first teaser shows Yuji Itadori deeply distressed, as he believes he killed many during the Shibuya Incident. It also features his battle with Yuta Okkotsu from Jujutsu Kaisen 0, a clash between Naoya Zen’in and Choso, and appearances by Megumi Fushiguro and Maki Zen’in.

MAPPA returns for Season 3 with Shota Goshozono serving as the director, Hiroshi Seko handling scripts, and character designs by Yosuke Yajima and Hiromi Niwa. The cast features Junya Enoki (Yuji), Yuma Uchida (Megumi), Daisuke Namikawa (Choso), and Megumi Ogata (Yuta).

Anime Expo 2025 first confirmed the Culling Game arc for Season 3. Junya Enoki, who voices Yuji, said, “I started recording already, and I can tell you, the battle scenes are on a whole different level.” The event also showed behind-the-scenes footage of Enoki performing emotional scenes.

Toho Animation confirmed Jujutsu Kaisen: Execution will debut in Japan on November 7, 2025, covering the Shibuya Incident and the first two Culling Game episodes. GKIDS will handle the North American release on December 5, 2025.

Gege Akutami’s manga concluded in September 2024 with over 100 million copies sold. Season 1 streams on Crunchyroll, Hulu, and Netflix, with Viz Media handling U.S. publication.
