Apple TV has finally announced the release date for Propeller One-Way Night Coach, its upcoming film adaptation of the 1997 children’s book of the same name written by Golden Globe winner John Travolta. The first photo from the film has also been unveiled, featuring the first look at its two main leads, newcomer Clark Shotwell as Jeff and Kelly Eviston-Quinnett as Jeff’s mother Helen.

When is the release date for John Travolta’s Propeller One-Way Night Coach movie?

The Propeller One-Way Night Coach movie will have its world premiere at the 2026 Cannes International Film Festival this May. Afterward, it will be available to stream globally on May 29, exclusively on Apple TV.

“Set in the golden age of aviation, a young airplane enthusiast, Jeff, and his mother set off on a one-way cross-country odyssey to Hollywood, which transforms a simple flight into the trip of a lifetime,” reads the official synopsis. “Between airline meals, charming flight attendants, unexpected stopovers, larger-than-life passengers, and a thrilling glimpse at first class, the journey unfolds in moments both magical and unexpected, charting the course for the boy’s future.”

The Apple Original Film is written and directed by Travolta in his feature directorial debut. Travolta is also starring in the movie as its narrator. The cast also includes Olga Hoffmann as Liz and the Grease actor’s daughter, Ella Bleu Travolta as Doris. Producers are Jason Berger and Amy Laslett for Kids at Play, along with Travolta for JTP Productions.
