While Barbie rewrote the rulebook for Mattel adaptations, Apple TV and Mattel Studios are taking a very different route with their next big-budget blockbuster, turning one of the company’s most iconic toy lines into a globe-trotting action spectacle. Now, San Diego Comic-Con audiences have finally been given their first proper look under the hood.
