James McAvoy stars in a three-season fantasy series on HBO Max that wasn't just an excellent entry in the genre, but a retroactive rehabilitation of a mistake from 12 years ago. HBO's fantasy offerings for television are a bit slim when compared to a streamer like Netflix, but what they have is high quality.
