Whenever somebody brings up Ryan Reynolds, chances are that the first thing that pops into their mind is Deadpool. Reynolds' long-running sarcastic streak is perfect for the Merc with a Mouth, fueling a trilogy of critically and commercially successful movies. Yet it's also led Reynolds to mostly play characters who, for lack of a better term, are variations on Deadpool. As a result, moviegoers are asking whether Reynolds can tap back into the depths he showed early in his career. Apple TV might have the answer, as its latest original movie features Reynolds joining forces with an unexpected actor.
