Irish Blood finale has finally uncovered the biggest lingering mystery of the show about who Declan Murphy’s killer is. It turned out in the last episode that the murder of Declan wasn’t how most imagined it to be. Rather, it came with a great twist that left fans wondering. While there are still things unresolved in the show, the Declan saga is finally over.

Who is Declan’s killer in Irish Blood finale?

Una was revealed to be Declan’s killer in the Irish Blood finale.

After teasing around the mystery throughout the majority of the six-episode season, the final episode finally revealed the mystery surrounding Declan’s death. There was a lingering question about whether Declan fell to his death accidentally or if he was pushed to his death. It turned out that he was indeed pushed off the cliff, but not in an explicitly malicious way.

The mystery came to light when Fiona finally learned the truth about Declan’s murder from the murderer herself. It turned out that Declan’s sister, Una, was the one behind the murder. Una revealed that she accidentally pushed Declan to his death while the two were arguing.

Una was aggressively arguing with Declan and did not realize he was standing next to the edge of the cliff. She pushed him during the argument, but this ended up killing him as he fell to his death. The argument emerged from Declan wanting Una to be a witness in his investigation.

The finale concluded with Garda arresting Una for the murder of Declan, effectively putting this mystery to bed.

Interestingly, there are still a lot of things beyond Declan’s death that the series could explore. Many of the primary mysteries remained unsolved by the finale. Perhaps a new season could delve deeper into the complicated past and present of the town.
