Invincible fans react to Season 4 Episode 6’s post-credits scene prank
Invincible season 4 episode 6 has landed on Prime Video, and its post-credits scene has set fans ablaze online. The episode, titled “You Look Horrible,” features a mid-credits moment that tricks viewers into thinking villain Conquest has returned from the dead. Mark Grayson killed Conquest for the second time in episode 5 of the current season.
The scene builds tension with ominous music as the camera zooms in on Conquest’s freshly dug grave. Many viewers expected the Viltrumite warrior to rise again, only for a smash cut to silence the music. A small gust of wind then blows dirt across the screen, confirming Conquest remains dead.
Fans on X reacted immediately, with one user writing, “This post credit scene is killing me they really had me convinced Conquest was gonna somehow return.”
Another user admitted, “That conquest post credit fried the f–k outta me, I actually fell for it for a second.”
A third user simply posted, “NO F–KING WAY, ARE YOU KIDDING ME,” attracting 2.5 million views.
One user noted that the show’s creators had deliberately engineered the moment, writing, “Invincible show runners tried to prank us that Conquest is still alive.”
Even longtime comic book readers fell for the gag, with one user stating, “I honestly thought Conquest was coming back with that end credit scene and was about to be so mad as a comic reader.”
The post-credits scene generated significant engagement across X. The fake-out moment marks the second time Invincible’s creative team has used a post-credits scene to tease Conquest’s fate. Conquest had previously survived an apparent death in the season 3 finale.
