Insomniac is bringing its community outreach efforts back to the festival grounds with the relaunch of its Insomniac Cares toy drive.
More than 15 years after first launching Insomniac Cares, rave promoter Insomniac is renewing its community-focused initiative with a holiday toy drive taking place across several of its festivals. The drives will take place at three major gatherings this year: Escape Psycho Circus, Boo! Arizona, and EDC Orlando.
Festivalgoers are encouraged to donate new, unwrapped toys valued at $20 or more, with participants receiving a $20 beverage voucher in exchange. Donations will be collected throughout each participating festival and will be distributed to children and families in need through local community partners.
The first drives already took place on Halloween Weekend at Escape Psycho Circus in San Bernardino — where members the EDM Identity team helped spread PLUR by dropping off donations for the children in need — as well as at Boo! Arizona in Scottsdale. The program will continue at EDC Orlando from November 6-8, where Insomniac will also be expanding its community outreach beyond donations.
During EDC Orlando, college students and local community members are invited to get a behind-the-scenes look at the festival’s production. Students from the University of Central Florida’s Rosen College of Hospitality Management and Full Sail University will tour the festival grounds and learn how the massive Insomniac event is produced.
According to Insomniac Founder and CEO Pasquale Rotella, the renewed initiative extends the community values of peace, love, unity, and respect.
“My whole life has been dedicated to creating joy for people on the dancefloor. I believe that experience can be therapeutic for the mind, body and soul,” Rotella said. “After doing this for so long, being able to extend that same spirit beyond our community is a blessing and something I truly enjoy. There are people in need, and if you have the ability to do more, you should. We’re committed to doing our part, and it makes dancing together that much more meaningful.”
Insomniac Cares builds on the company’s recent charitable efforts, including its 2025 LA Fire Benefit events and the EDC Las Vegas 2026 Charity Auction, which collectively raised $90,000 each for Casa de Luz and Camp Alamo. The donations helped both organizations’ efforts in supporting families and children in underserved communities.
If you are heading to EDC Orlando, consider bringing a toy along to help Insomniac Cares spread the spirit of PLUR beyond the festival. Below is more information on how to donate.
