Vanessa Fisk’s fate in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 remains unclear following the events of Episode 4. The latest episode saw her on the verge of death, but the final moments leave open the possibility of her survival in the upcoming episode.

In the original Marvel Comics canon, Vanessa Fisk did not die from a head injury. Instead, she succumbed to a terminal illness long ago, which led to a series of dire consequences for both her husband and Daredevil.

Before she died, Vanessa set off a chain of major events in motion to take revenge on Fisk and Daredevil, both of whom she blamed for her current situation. Shortly before her death, Vanessa confronted Daredevil and shared all her endeavors. After Vanessa passed away, Murdock honored her final wishes and dropped the charges against Fisk.

Years later, the ninja cult Hand got a hold of Vanessa’s body and resurrected her in an attempt to kill her husband. However, once Kingpin realized she was no longer the old Vanessa whom he loved, he killed the resurrected version of her.

Vanessa was revived once more as a clone by The Jackal. But Kingpin ultimately snapped her neck, claiming that the Jackal corrupted the final memories of his wife by creating a worthless clone.

Whether Vanessa will meet a comic-accurate fate in Daredevil: Born Again remains to be seen. The question of whether she survived the attack by Bullseye will be answered in Episode 5, “The Grand Design,” on April 14, 2026.
