How to defeat Tethys the Defended in Destiny 2

Tethys, the Defended, is a yellow-bar enemy in Destiny 2 who roams the Dreaming City. Much like the latter half of its name, the Taken Eliksni enemy has a shield and is immune to all your attacks.
