Honkai: Star Rail Zenless Zone Zero Crossover Starts in 4.8

During the 4.6 Honkai: Star Rail Special Program we learned the Zenless Zone Zero crossover involving Astra Yao and Ellen Joe will happen in version 4.8. We know 4.6 will debut on September 28, 2026 as well and feature Pearl as one of the new units.

The Zenless Zone Zero Honkai: Star Rail teaser mainly served to show how how the two will look in the game and tease their attacks. We see Ellen using her weapon to deal what looks like Ice damage with her Sharknami. With Astra, it seems like a hint at her being able to enter the Idyllic Cadenza state. Since we expect 4.6 to run until about November 2026, we might not see 4.8 and this crossover until January 2027.

As for 4.6, we know more about it too. The Trailblaze Missions for Planarcadia will continue, with Pearl playing a part in the story. The five-star Ice Elation heroine will also be part of the first two banners for the update alongside an Evanescia rerun. Evanescia will also get a Lunar Blooming outfit. The second half of the update will feature the return of the Mortenax Blade alt. The Love, Ghosts & Robots and Interastral Peace Gala: One Take events will also be held.

Honkai: Star Rail is available for the PS5, PC, and mobile devices, with 4.6 arriving on September 28, 2026. Zenless Zone Zero is on the PS5, Xbox Series X, PC, and mobile devices. The Honkai: Star Rail crossover that adds the Zenless Zone Zero characters Astra Yao and Ellen Joe will appear in 4.8.
