A lot is on the line for Henry Cavill, who must prove his worth as a leading man after a string of box-office underperformers over the last few years. Cavill will next star in Guy Ritchie's In the Grey, but the true litmus test will come later, when his Highlander reboot hits the screens. The movie is being directed by Chad Stahelski, marking his first project outside the John Wick franchise. Cavill is no stranger to franchise films, having gained global fame after playing Superman in the DC Extended Universe. He also played an antagonist in Mission: Impossible — Fallout, and the titular character in Netflix's fantasy series The Witcher. However, Cavill has a number of failed franchise starters under his belt as well. One of them is staging an unexpected comeback on streaming.
