Masters of the Universe star Nicholas Galitzine will be seen as a male supermodel in a new movie. What makes it even more exciting is that he could also end up working with one of Hollywood’s finest filmmakers.

While not much has been confirmed about the upcoming project, what’s confirmed is that Galitzine will play one of the highest-paid male supermodels. The fashion personality was the face of Gianni Versace, Valentino, and Ralph Lauren campaigns, while being photographed by Richard Avedon and Bruce Weber, among others.

What do we know about the new male supermodel movie with Nicholas Galitzine?

Nicholas Galitzine will be playing Hoyt Richards in the feature film, with Gus Van Sant in talks to direct, per The Hollywood Reporter. Richards found fame in the 1980s and was considered a contemporary of Cindy Crawford and Naomi Campbell. He was also known for being the highest-paid male supermodel for a time.

Hoyt Richards has recently been in the news for the docuseries Bring Me the Beauties. The HBO project is based on the period Richards spent trapped in Eternal Values, a cult led by Frederich von Mierers. Mierers was influential in helping him break into fashion, claiming he was an alien consciousness in human form. Richards reportedly gave millions of dollars to the cult while living a double life as a globe-trotting supermodel and obedient member.

Nicholas Galitzine is in theaters at the moment with Masters of the Universe and Sheep Detectives, and will next be seen in the Red, White and Royal Blue sequel, Red, White & Royal Wedding, and The Mosquito Bowl. Gus Van Sant, who is yet to come on board, is best known for Good Will Hunting and Milk. His last theatrical release was the recent crime thriller Dead Man’s Wire.
