Emily Osment explained that she missed the Hannah Montana 20th anniversary special due to ongoing work commitments on another project.

She shared a video from the set of her CBS sitcom Georgia & Mandy’s First Marriage. The post indicated she was filming at the time of the celebration. She also did not attend the premiere of the Disney+ special.

In her statement, Osment reflected on the impact of the show, saying, “Hannah Montana changed my life, it gave me a lifelong respect for this medium of comedy, it taught me discipline, patience, timing and respect working in an adult space so young.” She acknowledged the long-lasting connection with audiences and her continued appreciation for the series’ influence on her career.

Osment also addressed fans directly, highlighting her interactions with viewers over the years. She said, “I’ve met thousands of HM fans over the years, fans that now have children watching this show and fans that literally work beside me every day, like Montana. He’s seen every episode, don’t be fooled.” Her message emphasized the generational reach of the show and its continued relevance.

She further expressed gratitude for the support she has received, stating, “I can’t tell you what your sweet messages mean to me and how lucky I feel to have been apart of this once in a generation goliath of a television show.” Osment also credited fans for her current opportunities, adding, “Would never be where I am without you guys, working on another beautiful show I love so dearly.”
