GOP lawmakers push Hochul to veto bill to erase 'mother,' 'father' from parts of NYS law

Paternity proceedings would now be called "parentage" proceedings, mothers would be "gestating parents" and fathers would be "non-gestating parents" in Family Court Law under the bill, which Hochul's office has defended in recent weeks.
