A paranormal investigator who mysteriously died after showcasing the purportedly cursed Annabelle doll has had his cause of death revealed.
Dan Rivera, 54, died just a day after wrapping up his sold-out Devils on the Run Tour featuring Anabelle, the infamous doll in The Conjuring horror films.
Rivera, the senior lead investigator for the New England Society for Psychic Research, was discovered dead in his hotel room in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, by coworkers on July 13.
A police report from the day stated that ‘nothing unusual or suspicious was observed at the scene’.
But many members of the public have been skeptical – and wondered if Anabelle had a hand in Rivera’s sudden death.
Anabelle has already been linked to numerous tragedies and strange occurrences.
The Adams County coroner’s conclusion from Rivera’s autopsy does not hold Anabelle culpable.
‘Mr Rivera had a known history of cardiac issues, which were consistent with the findings,’ Dutrow told People on Thursday.
‘It is also confirmed that Annabelle was not present in the room at the time of his passing.’
