After three major projects were scuttled — including a third Wonder Woman movie, a Cleopatra epic, and a sequel to Red Notice — Gal Gadot appears to have pivoted to a smaller-scale project. Gadot was also the face of two significant misfires, the streaming tentpole Red Notice and the theatrical bomb Snow White. Her pivot comes on the heels of a similar shift in strategy executed by streamers. Netflix, in particular, has had exceptional success this year. The platform seemingly moved away from mega-budget projects such as Red Notice and concentrated on mid-budget genre movies instead. This has resulted in hits such as The Rip, War Machine, and the recently released The Last House. Gadot's new movie, which marks her first headlining role since 2023's Heart of Stone, is right around the corner.
