Fire Country Season 4 trailer confirms Vince’s death
CBS has released the official trailer for Fire Country Season 4 and it confirms the death of a pivotal character.
Vince Leone, the battalion chief portrayed by Billy Burke, is shown to have died in the fire that destroyed a memory care facility at the end of Season 3. Vince had been trapped inside the collapsing building alongside his wife, Division Chief Sharon Leone, and his father, retired chief Walter Leone. While Sharon and Walter survived, Vince did not make it out.
The clip opens with an emotional scene at Vince’s funeral. His son Bode Leone (Max Thieriot) delivers a moving eulogy. Bode says, “I’m going to spend the rest of my career protecting my father’s town, my father’s station, and my father’s mission.”
The preview highlights growing friction between Bode and his captain Jake Crawford. Jake’s decision to bench Bode along with debating over how ill inherit Vince’s role as battalion chief contributes to tension.
Meanwhile, Sharon Leone is grappling with her grief. At one point, she announces that the station has been suspended from active duty. The trailer also introduces new as well as returning faces. Shawn Hatosy joins the series as someone brought in to help the firefighters cope with the loss of their chief.
On the other hand, Audrey, who was last seen being taken into custody, is back with the team. Gabriela also appears, sharing a heartfelt exchange with Bode. However, Arcila’s appearance will be brief, as she will exit the series following the premiere episode.
Fire Country returns Friday, October 17 at 8 p.m. on CBS and Paramount+.
