Explosive PS5 Shooter Is Out Today on PlayStation Store

A roguelite first-person shooter title has arrived on the PlayStation Store. The fast-paced title is now available on PS5 with its full 1.0 release, following more than a year in Early Access on PC.

Void/Breaker is now available on the PlayStation Store. PlayStation 5 owners can purchase the single-player game for $29.99. It’s a solo project from Daniel Stubbington, operating as Stubby Games, the creator of the hit sci-fi puzzle adventure The Entropy Centre.

PlayStack, the publisher behind Mortal Shell II and Balatro, serves as the game’s publisher. As of writing, the game earned “Very Positive” reviews on Steam, based on over 2,000 ratings.

What to expect from Void/Breaker’s roguelite shooter gameplay

The single-player game combines roguelite gameplay with bullet hell elements. It drops players into a deadly sci-fi setting where they are trapped in an endless sequence controlled by a hostile, all-seeing AI. Their primary mission is to find a way out.

The combat focuses on speed, movement, and weapon customization. Players can run through relentless gunfights, dodge incoming attacks, and use their surroundings to gain an advantage.

Like many modern FPS titles, the game also boasts an extensive weapon modification system. Players can combine different modifications to create unique weapons and experiment with various combat strategies. The developer says the system allows for “limitless weapon combinations.”

Environmental destruction is another key gameplay feature. Players can blast through walls, collapse structures, and create new opportunities during encounters. Destroying parts of the environment can help players open new routes to tackle enemies or create an edge in a fight.

Each run also asks players to make choices. They decide which fights to take and which paths to follow, with riskier routes offering bigger rewards while safer ones provide a more cautious approach.

Void/Breaker is also available on Xbox Series X|S.
