Technically, The Sopranos is a crime/drama series, yet that’s underselling it to just call it that and leave things there. It’s one of the funniest shows of all time, even without being a sitcom or comedy in the traditional sense, and then beyond being about the mob, it’s also excellent as a family drama and maybe something of a psychological drama, the latter genre being supported by the fact that therapy plays such a huge role throughout the show’s six seasons.
