CBS’ new supernatural comedy, Eternally Yours, is expanding its cast list immediately following its October 8, 2026, series premiere. Showrunners Joe Port and Joe Wiseman, the creative duo behind the network’s hit Ghosts, revealed several high-profile guest stars and seasonal plans for the show’s debut season during a recent panel at New York Comic Con.
Tim Meadows and Asif Ali are among the first major additions confirmed for the freshman season. Meadows is set to portray Dr. Edwards, a wise-cracking vampire dentist who provides medical care to the show’s central Blythe family. Ali will take on the role of Igor, a humorless, bureaucratic official representing the Vampire Council. Both actors are currently scheduled for single-episode appearances.

Expanding the Supernatural World
In addition to the one-off guest spots, Jeff Hiller has joined the series in a recurring capacity. Hiller will play Aldrict, an old-world vampire. These additions bolster a cast led by Ed Weeks and Allegra Edwards, who star as Charles and Liz, a pair of 500-year-old vampires attempting to navigate a modern domestic life in Seattle.
The show’s creative team also confirmed that the first season will feature a dedicated Christmas special. The holiday-themed episode will reportedly focus on the character Jesse and a particular obsession with the holiday season, specifically revolving around a Secret Santa story arc.

Connections to the Ghosts Universe
While Eternally Yours establishes its own lore, its trajectory is closely tied to the success of Port and Wiseman’s other CBS property. Fans of the creators’ work have a dense seasonal schedule ahead; while the new series continues its initial run, Ghosts is prepared to air a two-part Halloween special on October 29, 2026.
The new series marks a continuation of the network’s strategy for its comedy block, blending supernatural elements with mundane, everyday concerns—as evidenced by the introduction of dental care and council bureaucracy into the life of the undead. Following the premiere, the series continues to air on Thursday nights on CBS.
