If you’ve not quite picked your jaw up of the floor following Emmerdale’s confirmation about who DS Thea Ramsden (Chelsea Edge) really is then trust me, you’re not alone.

The long-running ITV soap has been teasing a secret about the new detective, who very much has a vendetta against Kim Tate (Claire King) and tonight we found out why.

The copper is connected to the Tates, with a flashback sequence to 1999 showing a younger Kim staring at Thea through the hospital ward window.

Elsewhere, Nicola King (Nicola Wheeler) broke down in tears, struggling to come to terms with the loss of her beloved husband Jimmy (Nick Miles), who died last week.

Joe Tate (Ned Porteous), meanwhile, was in a similar situation as he attempted to process the devastating loss of wife-to-be Dawn (Olivia Bromley) who lost her life in the wake of the crash. He is hellbent on revenge against Caleb Miligan (William Ash), but will he follow through and take it?

With questions aplenty and epic cliffhangers, you’re no doubt eager to know what’s next in Emmerdale and if that’s the case then we can help you out, with a look ahead at tomorrow’s episode.
