Duchess of Kent has died aged 92, says Buckingham Palace

Palace says duchess, who was married to late queen’s cousin, ‘passed away peacefully surrounded by family’

Katharine, Duchess of Kent, who was married to Queen Elizabeth II’s cousin the Duke of Kent, has died at the age of 92, Buckingham Palace has announced.

Buckingham Palace said the duchess had died late on Thursday evening.
